Senior Session Spotlight:  A senior session to remember- helicopters, duck hunting, atvs and tractors!

Some sessions are more than just portraits, they're an adventure and I'm so lucky to be brought along on all these adventures this past school year and May is ending with a bang!  David's session was exactly that- adventurous!  He came ready with big ideas and a whole lot of personality and we had a blast bringing his vision to life!

We started out where David works, capturing him in his element around the tractors and equipment that are a part of his work life.  It was important to him to include this part of his story, and the setting made for some awesome shots!

Then things took to the skies! Literally!  His boss took him up in a helicopter, and we captured some thrilling shots of David in the air, recreating how he looks when he hog hunts at the crack of dawn!

Back on the ground, we headed out to another location for casuals and shots with his atv and shots  doing what David loves the most- duck hunting!  He waded into the water with his decoys just as the sun was setting.  The light changed so fast, at first few shots the sky was golden, but the sun went behind the clouds and the entire environment changed to a blue twilight which in my opinion made for some stunning shots!  We call this the "blue hour" in photography talk!

We closed the session out with some shots of David fishing and driving his boat- by then it was getting dark fast and the 'twilight' was deepening its blue hues.  I think this made for a nice contrast to your normal golden hour on the water.  

This session had everything:  grit, excitement, and purpose.  It was such a fun and unforgettable way to document who David is right now- and all the passions that shape him.  Thank you Gonzales family for having me create this session for your son!

As we close the seniors of 2025 (including my own senior this year)- we look back with so many adventures and memories!  We strive to document all seniors and showcase their hobbies, talents and WHO they are at this moment in time before the real world hits!  We LOVE what we do so much that we continue to change and evolve and bring new things to the next senior year.  We look forward to creating sessions for the seniors of 2026.  We specialize in taking your memories and creating TANGIBLE art - albums, wall art, and more.  Its what we are passionate about!

Each year I think how could it get any better?  And yet here we are and summer is already booking with cheer, football, volleyball with various surrounding schools and some are new schools that I get to step foot in and create even more connections and friendships.  Now is the perfect time to come to Inez, visit us in studio and decide if we are the right fit for you!
