Senior Session Spotlight: Edna Senior, Devin

THE POWER OF SIMPLICITY

We began the session with the senior donning a simple black shirt against an unassuming backdrop- this minimalistic approach emphasizes that sometimes less is truly more!  We found a spectacular spot that may otherwise be passed by.  The light was reflecting off some green tall leafy plants, in my head I thought this would be a great contrast to the black shirt Devin was wearing.  It ended up being a stunning image, creating a timeless-compelling image.

Devin then put his letterman on so we could capture some of his past achievements and it added a personal touch to his session!

In a deeply personal segment, Devin wore a t-shirt honoring his late aunt.  This tribute underscored their close bond and added emotional depth to the session.  Photographing this moment not only paid homage to a cherished relationship, but also highlighted the importance of acknowledging personal stories in senior portraits.

Understanding a senior's passion with their vehicles, we incorporated this seniors car into the session using edgy lighting that went well with the location.  We added some blue gel to match Devin's Edna school colors!

Finding the extraordinary in the ordinary:  throughout the session, we sought out everyday locations and props to craft distinct images.  One of the images in his session has Devin with a reflection in rain water.  This ended up being the choice for their large wall art canvas!  Taking advantage of things often overlooked are what keep sessions looking unique!

Congratulations to this Edna 2025 senior on his upcoming graduation and thank you Jones family for allowing me to create many keepsake items of Devin's senior year!

We currently serve the crossroads area and BEYOND!  While we work a lot with the local seniors- Edna, Ganado, Hallettsville, Victoria, Louise, Industrial, Cuero and more, we also have travelled to Houston, George West and further for a senior session and we've had seniors from as far away as Jourdanton, Houston and Rockport travel to us!  We also offer destination senior shoots so if you are looking for a session with a location like no other- we LOVE to travel!
